My son is 20 and has epilepsy. I was browsing the 'Epilepsy and Employment' section of your website as he is finding it very difficult to find a job. I looked at a section on epilepsy and travel and was pleased to see that as he is unable to apply for a driving licence he may be entitled to a free bus pass. I have contacted the council as suggested about this and they are sending him a form to fill in. Why have none of his doctors or nurses mentioned this to us before? He travels a lot socially, doing voluntary work and looking for a job and this would be a big help to him but I had never heard of this before. It's only something small but it may cheer him up a bit especially as all his friends of his age are either driving or taking driving lessons. I wish someone had mentioned this to us before now.
Yep terriable! never got told....Thanks!!
