The University of Exeter and Exeter Northcott have teamed up to produce an interactive performance about epilepsy.
The performance, called Beyond My Control, will combine improvised scenes, stories and mathematics. It will aim to help the audience understand seizures better.
The show was created by Paul Jepson, artistic director at Exeter Northcott and professor of mathematics John Terry from the University of Exeter.
The show’s creators are hoping it will offer “a glimpse of a life lived with epilepsy”. It will portray this through interactive improvised scenes and mathematical models. The performance will also discuss recent epilepsy research from the university.
Performances will be held in a few venues around the UK at the end of January and start of February.
